For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building
There is a private car park which can accommodate some cars, this acts on a first come, first serve basis at the rear of the building. This can be accessed via Taunton Road, (near the top of the hill, on the left). The Limes is situated in a residential road, therefore we do have some parking at the front of the property, without any fees or restrictions.
The Limes is situated approximately 250 meters up a steep hill from Lower High Street. Therefore, you have the bonus of being just a minute walk from all the shops, bars & restaurants. Just a short stroll away is Swanage Pier & the beach which offers safe, clean bathing and dogs are not permitted from 30th April to 30th September.
However, there are other beaches only a short drive away where dogs are allowed all the year round, including Shell Bay, Lulworth Cove and Kimmeridge Bay.
There is a wide range of places to eat within a few minutes’ walk or a short drive, including pubs, cafés, fish and chips, Italian, Chinese, Indian and English restaurants. A comprehensive guide can be found at the Virtual Swanage site, and do ask Jason or Sarah if you need advice. A list of dog-friendly pubs and restaurants is also available.

Special Occasions
If you, your friends or relatives, are coming to The Limes to celebrate a special occasion we are very happy to provide wine, chocolates (locally hand-made in Purbeck) or flowers for the room. Give us a call or email to discuss your requirements.
Groups and Parties
The Limes makes a great base for group trips (golf, walking – anything!), large family parties or reunions.
We can sleep anything between 20 and 30 depending on the make-up of your party, and for larger groups we work with other establishments close by.
Although we only offer room only, there are plenty of breakfast options in the town & we are happy to recommend any local pubs or restaurants (all within a few minutes’ walk).
Gift Vouchers
A stay at The Limes makes a lovely, imaginative present, and we are happy to provide customized gift vouchers to include with a birthday or Christmas card. You can pay for a weekend’s accommodation, a night, or even a contribution towards a stay. Obviously for single night stays, we have to place some restrictions on when they can be taken, just give us a call or email, and we can discuss what we can offer.
